Sundial owns and operates three highly regarded residential country mansion type conference centres/hotels located in Surrey, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. Each offer the latest modern training and conference equipment with high quality dedicated meeting rooms, elegant dining rooms, en-suite bedrooms and leisure facilities.

Food is taken very seriously at Sundial Group venues. Our talented brigade of chefs use fresh, local produce to create a high standard of cuisine for our residential and non-residential guests. We serve a wide range of food depending on the requirements of the event. Typically, breakfast and lunch are buffet service, while dinner is four course table d’hote menu. Special events sometimes require fine dining or buffet service in the evening, while our networking lunch featuring miniature versions of classic favourites are popular with conference groups.

Woodside is located on Glasshouse Lane, Kenilworth,  in Warwickshire and currently has a vacancy for F/T Chef de Partie.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are ably responsible follow instructions and can work well with the other team members to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen operation.

Our ideal candidates will demonstrate their ability to work well under pressure in a professional manner in a quality driven environment, posses a passion for cooking and excellent motivational skills.

Main Responsibilities include but are not limited to;

  • To maintain and comply with all food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Effective teamwork and communication with the team and other departments.
  • Food preparation, production and providing timely service to satisfy all guest requirements.
  • Receive and check-in deliveries to agreed specifications.
  • To assist in stock control. to assist in menu writing. to deputise in the absence of the Head chef, Sous chef including attending meetings.
  • Ensure Sundial standards are being achieved.
  • Promoting and raising Sundial’s profile, Health & Safety, hygiene regulations and risk assessments are achieved.

Title Junior Chef de Partie
Salary £16,131 – £17,525 per annum
Location Warwick Conferences Scarman & Radcliffe: University of Warwick.
Job Information

36.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7 including weekends (Appointments are normally made on the first point of the salary range).

Friendly, professional and enthusiastic persons are required to join our award winning kitchen teams, where you will assist in the smooth running of the kitchen including food production and presentation. Previous experience as a Trainee/Commis Chef in a similar environment is essential and you should possess a NVQ  level 2 or equivalent.

Working with a team of chefs, you will cater for our conferences and individual guests for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. As well as gaining experience in each section of the kitchen with your enthusiasm for quality food and service, you will be a valuable member of the team.
