We are looking to fill 2 positions in our kitchen, namely that of Sous Chef and a Chef de Partie.
The successful individuals will be required to meet the following points;

KEY OUTPUTS:

  • Kitchen Hygiene standards set
  • Responsible for training chefs & implementing kitchen standards
  • Abide by the menu set according to the executive chef
  • Proactive Maintenance
  • Good communications with:
  • Good stock controls and stock rotation
  • Responsible for all food orders, storerooms and fridge and deep freezes in absence of the executive chef
  • All food going out to guests at any time to be checked in absence of the executive chef
  • Good discipline and fair treatment: Be a Role Model
  • Good Teamwork to be promoted
  • Have Fun and be Flexible
  • Always be approachable
  • Be aware of & make your follow chefs aware of special dietary needs for Guests.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Communication skills – with guests and fellow staff members
  • Computer literate and well versed in Microsoft outlook and excel
  • Standard of your work must exceed the standard of the restaurant
  • Good organizational ability
  • Lateral thinking ability
  • Initiative
  • Must adhere to World Class Hospitality and Service Standards
  • Honest, have good integrity, proactive and driven person who has career ambition

AS IDEAL CANDIDATES YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Certificate/diploma in culinary arts
  • Good communication skills
  • Contactable references
  • At least 2+ years Sous Chef experience in a fine dine or similar environment
  • Passion for kitchen management – including all kitchen administration and general hygiene

SALARY PACKAGE:

  • US$3375 per month (Sous Chef), US$3000 per month (Chef de Partie)
  • Additional benefits if food costs are kept to a certain level
